Public Distribution System

The Food and Civil Supplies portal is used for a number of activities related to public distribution system. The most relevant citizen related activity is the application for ration cards under NFSA. The other service being relevant to farmers willing to sell their produce to government procurement agencies involved in the public distribution system.

The portal is used for –

• Applying online for Ration Cards under NFSA. This activity can be carried out from any CSCs. The Ration cards are distributed through Pradhans, so prepared through this portal for verified eligible applicants.
• Online application by farmers willing to sell their produce (namely Paddy or Wheat) to government agencies involved in procurements for the public distribution system through CSCs/Mobiles on to the portal. Then they are intimated through mails/ SMSs about the most like date and time for the turn of the farmers to bring their produce to the procurement enters.
